New project!
So I've always wanted one of these:
But they are $20+ at the store. So I made one...in about 1.5 minutes!
Get a big old t-shirt from D.I. (Or Greg's drawer.)

Then cut off the sleeves and collar, and cut up the side seams.

Then open it up.
Then stick just your arms through the circle from behind you...
...and voila!!!

(From the back)

Cool, huh!!!

I caught him again!
This morning I caught Eddie reading again. It was the same book as the last time. We really are going to have to have an intervention here soon.
We got these boots at D.I. for Eddie, mostly because Daddy has the same pair, so now they are twins. They are still a little big, but he wore them this morning during my facility check because it was snowy and cold!

Funnies on this rainy Saturday morning...
This morning Eddie was listening to The Lion King soundtrack; sometimes I play Disney songs during lunch because he thinks it's funny that I sing and dance along, so he totally already knew the song. He was testing out my new headphones for me this morning, and apparently liked the improved sound quality.
So cute, right?
This morning I had choir practice at 8 AM, and had THIRTEEN people show up!! I'm so impressed. And for the most part they can sing in four parts and hold their own after we've drilled their melodies a few times. Tomorrow morning we're going to have another rehearsal at 8:30 before Ward Conference at 10:00, and get it diggity-down!
Greg and Eddie showed up a few minutes after we started- Greg wanted Eddie to be able to get out of the house this morning, even though it was raining, so he bundled up Eddie like an Eskimo and brought him to the church to hear some pretty music for a few minutes before they left to go home for nap time. Then on the way home, he just happened upon a stray black lab puppy- which also happens to be his #1 favorite kind of dog. So I arrived home later to a bark! bark! and was greeted unexpectedly by a super shiny, BEAUTIFUL black lab puppy who was maybe a year old. Healthy, happy, and knew how to sit and shake hands too. I mean Greg couldn't have just left him outside in the pouring rain, could he? Plus, the dog came with him like he was his owner. Anyway, we called Animal Control, and posted a "found" ad on KSL. Poor guy- his owners got lost. We were both a little sad when an a guy from the animal shelter came, but we can't keep him... :(

New year...
At the beginning of every year, Greg and I take down the invitations that we received from the previous year. This year, twelve of our friends got married, and four of them had babies. Whatta bunch we all are! Anyway, as I struggled to find room this morning to add yet another wedding announcement and baby shower invitation to our little board, I remembered that it was time to take the rest down, somewhat sadly, since afterward our board looks lonely. But within a month or two, the invitations start filling up the space again, and then everything is back to normal. Such is life; things come and things go, and then new things come, and we adapt.

Old-ish pictures...
These are a bunch of pictures that were on Greg's camera. Mom, the first one is a "toe" picture. Though you can't see his toe....but I'll still try to get a good one of it!
These are from Christmas 2010 in Phoenix.
Quintin and Eddie had fun playing together.
And Eddie played with his great-gramma. She's pretty great.
These photos are from last summer when Greg worked as a wildland firefighter.
These are some photos from the summer- Greg and I took Eddie to the mountains and went on a two-hour hike!! Here we were stopping for lunch. It was really fun!
Eddie comes to Momma!
One of the most exhilarating things ever is seeing your little baby almost walk. I felt that way when he first spoke, first sat up, and first crawled. And I'm sure I'll continue to feel that way when he first walks by himself, first asks a question, first takes care of a little sibling, first learns to read and ride a bike, etc. etc; in short, the list goes on forever. I will surely continue to be amazed at all the little things my little guys does, and then be amazed at the big things my big guy will do. Motherhood is such a blessing. For now though, a tiny little assisted step is magnificent to me.
